DAY 1: July 12, 2025

Arrive In Northern Norway

  • Arrive at Harstad/Narvik Airport (EVE) and meet VRX guides for a transfer to Henningsvær!

  • 2.5-hour drive to our hotel in Hennginsvær, Norway. Henningsvær is a small fishing village with a population of just 510.

  • In the evening, there will be an included group dinner to meet your fellow travelers

DAY 2: July 13, 2025

Hike Festvagtind & Henningsvær

  • In the morning there will be a hike of the nearby mountain Festvagtind overlooking the city.

  • Spend the day exploring the quaint village

  • Optional: Visit the Lofotr Viking Museum (+$30 per person)

  • Free night

DAY 3: July 14, 2025

Hiking Day #1: Munkebu

  • A two-hour drive to your first Lofoten hiking experience at the tip of the peninsula to the base of Munkebu.

  • Stop in the village of Hamnøy for some famous views!

  • Dinner in Ballstad before returning to Henningsvær

  • Hiking: 6 hours (Munkebu)

  • Ascent/Elevation Gain: 756m / 2,480ft
    Distance: 10km / 6.2mi
    Transportation: 4 hour drive roundtrip

DAY 4: July 15, 2025

Kayaking & Rappelling

  • Today we embark on the east coast of Lofoten.

  • Starting from Eggum, there will be a full day’s slate of kayaking, hiking, and rappelling!

  • After a long day of extraordinary activities, we will head back to Svolvær in the evening

DAY 5: July 16, 2025

Move to Svolvær & Hiking Day #2: Himmeltindan

  • Today you will hike the tallest peak in central Lofoten

  • Himmeltindan provides spectacular views of the ocean, beaches, and neighboring peaks.

  • After the hike, you will check in to your hotel in Svolvær

  • Hiking: 5 hours (Himmeltindan)
    Ascent/Elevation Gain: 885m / 2,906ft
    Descent: Out and back trail
    Distance: 8km/ 5mi
    Transportation: 3 hrs roundtrip

DAY 6: July 17, 2025

Fjord Tour

  • After a busy few days there will be a relaxing morning

  • Optional: Depart on a four-hour semi boat tour to visit the famous Trollfjord with opportunities to see eagles soaring above the water and imposing mountains on either side. Lunch included!

  • If you would like to stay in Svolvær, there will be an optional hike up a nearby mountain before an included group dinner in town.

DAY 7: July 18, 2025

Cheese Making & Horseback Riding

  • Today is all about the activities

  • Join in the fun as we visit a goat farm that you will be able to assist in making! (This is optional: +$110 per person)

  • Later in the evening, we depart for horseback riding that starts at 10pm as you watch the sunset on the back of an Icelandic horse. This tour will end with sunlight still beaming at midnight!

DAY 8: July 19, 2025

Hiking Day #3: Matmora or Justadtinden

  • Our final day in Norway ends with another hike, this time to either Matmora or Justadtinden (stats below) depending on the weather and timing.

  • In the evening, we will drive to Narvik and indulge in our final group dinner of this Norweigan hiking adventure. 

  • Hiking: 4 hours (Justatinden)
    Ascent: 2,420 feet
    Distance: 5.5 miles
    Transportation: 2 - 2.5 hours roundtrip

DAY 9: July 20, 2025

Transfer To EVE Airport & Departure Day

  • After breakfast, we head to Harstad/Narvik (EVE) Airport for your outbound flight

  • Voyedge RX will provide your transportation back to the airport in time for your departing flights

There is a chance you score your own room, but that is left up to chance depending on the number of bookings. If you are booking as a couple or with a friend, you will be placed in the same room together. Just let us know if you would like one or two beds on the trip sign-up form.
  • If you would like PRIVATE ACCOMMODATIONS please select that option during checkout and VRX will apply the extra cost per night to your invoice. Please note, private accommodations may not be available during the entire duration of this tour.

  • Flight times on July 20, 2025 from Harstad/Narvik Airport might not align well with a flight back to the U.S. If you need to get back to the U.S. on July 20, you may need to leave Harstad/Narvik Airport on Saturday, July 19.
  • If you need to leave the day before and have an overnight stay in Oslo or another city, please contact VRX for planning purposes.
  • You may choose to arrive early or stay late, if you wish. Note that you will be responsible for booking your own transportation, activities, and meals if you are arriving early or staying late. You have the option of having VRX book you a hotel room and adding the cost to your invoice for a small fee.

+ FITNESS & ACTIVITIES

  • Daily hikes and being active are part of this tour and most included in the price. You do NOT need to be an athlete in order to sign-up, although daily workouts and fitness options are available for you to participate in. We welcome all ages, abilities, fitness levels and only require you to be willing to step outside your comfort zone and try new things while on this tour.
  • The longest hike on this tour is about 5-6 hours. Hydration and general physical preparedness are highly suggested to be aware of while on this tour.
