Welcome to Egypt! Home of Pharaohs, the Nile River, and the great Pyramids welcomes you to an 11-day trek that will show you the best of Egypt. From the bustling city of Cairo to exploring all over the desert and finally the temples of Luxor.

Starting in the capital city of Cairo and its neighbor Giza, you will be able to experience the great Pyramids, the vast Egyptian Museum, and some of the most famous markets in the world. 

 

DAILY ITINERARY OVERVIEW

DAY 0: OCTOBER 24, 2025

PRE-ARRIVAL

  • Based on flight times in Cairo, if you would like to arrive a day or night earlier, VoyEdge Rx can coordinate pick-up and hotel.

  • There will be no set schedule but there will be something to do!

DAY 1: OCTOBER 25, 2025

WELCOME TO EGYPT!

  • Welcome to Cairo!

  • There will be a walking tour and time to ask questions about the trip

  • Included lunch and group dinner to meet you new travel mates!

DAY 2: OCTOBER 26, 2025

GIZA & PYRAMIDS

  • Today we head out to the edge of Giza to explore the magnificent pyramids!  You will see the three most famous pyramids, called Khufu, Khafre, and Menakure, as well as the Sphinx. 

  • Later, we head over to Sakkara to take in the oldest known pyramid in all of Egypt, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser!

  • Tonight we enjoy an included authentic Middle Eastern dinner

DAY 3: OCTOBER 27, 2025

CAIRO

  • Optional morning workout

  • Today we tour the city of Cairo beginning at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities

  • This afternoon we head to the old Islamic section of the old city Cairo, visiting some of the oldest churches in recorded history, and even exploring a massive local market, named Khan Al-Khalili.

  • For dinner we are heading out on a Nile Dinner Cruise Experience, enjoying delectable local cuisine, while enjoying Sufi-dancing entertainment.

DAY 4: OCTOBER 28, 2025

 TO THE DESERT

  • Early morning departure to Oasis Bahariya (4 hour drive)

    • The closest oasis to Cairo surrounded by black hills and sulfur springs. 

  • Tour Meftella Mountain, Salt Lake, Dest (Pyramid Mountain) & Maghrafa Mountain

  • Visit el Matar springs for a swimming stop

  • Watch a desert sunset from English Mountain, named for a former British outpost.

  • Night in hotel

day 5: OCTOBER 29, 2025

WHITE & BLACK DESERT

  • Optional morning desert workout

  • Tour of the Black Desert

    • Gabel el Marsos (Divided Mountain)

  • Off road to the Bedouin village of el Hez for swimming

  • Continue on to the White Desert area

  • Arrive at El Mattar area and spend the night camping

DAY 6: OCTOBER 30, 2025

WHITE DESERT

  • Off Road tour in White Desert

    • Visit Magic Spring Ain El Serw

    • Stop at Acacia tree, one of the oldest trees in the desert

    • Farafra Depression made of white chalk created through years of wind erosion 

    • Wildlife such as Rhim Gazelle, Barbary Sheep, and foxes

  • Camping in desert

DAY 7: OCTOBER 31, 2025

DAKHLA

  • After breakfast we will visit the Dakhla Oasis, a large farming ara in the desert

  • Stop in the old medieval style Islamic town of Qasr Dakhla, which dates back to Roman times

  • Make a stop at Temple of the Rock and Colored Mountain

  • Visit Mozawaka Tombs known for their beautiful colors

  • Night in hotel

DAY 8: November 1, 2025

 KHARGA

  • Optional morning desert workout

  • Day in the Kharga Oasis

  • Center for the Governorate of Wadi Gedid which is responsible for 40% of Egypt’s land area

  • Amon Temple in Hibis dating back to Persian rule

  • Roman fortress Nadura

  • Night in hotel

DAY 9: November 2, 2025

LUXOR

  • Depart from Kharga to the famous city of Luxor

  • Tour of Karnak Temple and the East Bank

  • Night in Luxor

DAY 10: November 3, 2025

LUXOR WEST BANK & VALLEY OF THE KINGS (departure if you need)

  • Day to see the West Bank of Luxor and the vast Valley of the Kings

    • Home to many underground burial sites of past kings and important ancient Egyptians

  • Night in Luxor

  • If you would like, you can depart the trip later in the day

  • After signing up, VoyEdge RX will send you an invoice for the remaining balance for you to make payments as you wish. All invoices must be paid off at least 90 days before the trip kicks off, otherwise a 10% fee is applied.

  • All accommodations and prices on this trip are booked as double occupancy. If you are booking alone, you will be placed with a member of the same sex and similar age. There is a chance you score your own room, but that is left up to chance depending on the number of bookings. If you are booking as a couple or with a friend, you will be placed in the same room together. Just let us know if you would like one or two beds on the trip sign-up form.
  • If you would like PRIVATE ACCOMMODATIONS please select that option during checkout and $200 extra per night will be added to your invoice. Please note, private accommodations may not be available during the entire duration of this tour.

  • You may choose to arrive early or stay late, if you wish **If you would like to arrive early or stay late, VRX can set up your hotel and transportation but you will be responsible for the cost.

  • Daily hikes, workouts and box drop-ins are part of this tour and included in the price. You do NOT need to be an athlete in order to sign-up, although daily workouts and fitness options are available for you to participate in. We welcome all ages, abilities, fitness levels and only require you to be willing to step outside your comfort zone and try new things while on this tour.

  • This trip requires a minimum of 8 people to sign-up in order for it to be led as a 'group tour' on behalf of VoyEdge RX.   • Prepare for your trip by scheduling a visit with your MD. As your trip gets closer, you’ll want to catch up on all routine vaccinations, discuss antimalarial options, and add in a couple of specific vaccinations (such as typhoid and Japanese encephalitis). More on this later!
